Where to get tested

Most GUM (Genito-Urinary Medicine) clinics and drug agencies offer confidential testing.

Your GP may be able to offer you a test. However If the test is performed through your GP they may be obliged to divulge information, for example, in instances where they are asked for a medical examination. However, you would need to give your permission for this.

You need to remember that your GP is typically your first point of contact with healthcare. It is important for them to know of any significant factor affecting your health.
