Been at risk - what happens next?
It is important to talk to a trained professional about any risk you may have for hepatitis C no matter how long ago it was. Any discussion and results will be confidential. It will be your decision to go ahead with a test or not. A trained professional can help to explain the level of risk to you based on what you tell them which may help with the decision,
If in doubt please ask rather than delay and worry. Always remember treatment, support and advice are all available and you are not alone. Many hundreds of thousands of people in the UK have been at risk at some point throughout their lives.
Where to go?
If you are considering getting a test, we would recommend that you first receive a pretest consultation. Check our UK Hepatitis Directory for details of your local testing services.
